Scanning
I do three levels of scanning (please note that in all cases, the scanning is a destructive process, so your book won’t be returned):
Basic Scanning: I will scan your published book and save it to pdf, strip out the headers and footers, run optical character recognition (OCR), and save it in Microsoft Word format. I will not do any OCR correction or review, so it will need a lot of work on your part to clean it up.
Price = $30/books or $20/short story or novella.
Standard Scanning: I will scan your published book and save it to pdf, strip out the headers and footers, run optical character recognition (OCR), and save it in Microsoft Word format, then run it through my checklist for the most common OCR errors, and insert the chapter and scene breaks. I will not proofread it, so you will still have to do that.
Price $0.25 per page (minimum $30). For example:
120 pages and below = $30
200 pages = $50
300 pages = $75
400 pages = $100
Full Scanning: I will scan your published book and save it to pdf, strip out the headers and footers, run optical character recognition (OCR), and save it in Microsoft Word format, then run it through my checklist for the most common OCR errors, insert the chapter and scene breaks, and proofread the entire book.
Price $1.00 per page (minimum $100). For example:
100 pages and below = $100
200 pages = $200
300 pages = $300
400 pages = $400
Formatting
Formatting: I will format your novel and send you an epub file, suitable for uploading your ebook to all online venues: $.0015/word (minimum $30). This assumes minimal pictures.
For nonfiction, please send me an email with your needs, including number of tables, graphics, etc.
References available upon request.
Uploading
I will upload your ebook to Apple Books, Amazon, Kobo, Barnes & Noble, Draft2Digital, Google Play, etc. for just $10 per venue.
