Services for Writers

Line edit: Editing line by line for sentence structure and flow, word choice, inconsistencies, repetition, clarifying meaning, organizing thoughts, etc. ($.006/word; 100,000 words = $600).

Copy edit:  Editing for grammar, punctuation, and style ($.005/word; 100,000 words = $500).

Proofreading:  Final review of edited manuscripts for accuracy ($.003/word; 100,000 words = $300).

Preferred genres: Fantasy, science fiction, romance, mystery/thriller, nonfiction (though I can edit just about anything).

To hire me:  Send me an email (see contact page) to determine my availability.  I’ll ask you to send the first 1500 words or so of your manuscript in Microsoft Word.  I  will return it to you edited with Track Changes, free of charge.  This allows me to help you determine what level of editing you need, and gives you an opportunity to see if my editing is what you expect.

References available upon request.

Scanning: I will scan your published book and save it to pdf, run optical character recognition (OCR), output it to a Word document, and review it for the most common OCR errors. Please note that the scanning is a destructive process, so your book won’t be returned.

Scanning to pdf with OCR and output to Word document with clean-up of standard OCR errors: $50.

Proofreading after scanning: additional $.003/word.

Formatting: I will format your novel and send you an epub file, suitable for uploading to all online venues: $.001/word (minimum $25). This assumes minimal pictures.

For nonfiction, please send me an email with your needs, including number of tables, graphics, etc.

References available upon request.

I will upload your ebook to iBooks, Amazon, Kobo, or Barnes & Noble for just $5 each using my Fiverr gig (or, if it’s offline, contact me).

I also assist authors with WordPress, sales funnels, newsletters, and more. Contact me for more information and rates.
